Tecno Pova 7 and Pova 7 Pro official renders showing LED back panel and punch-hole display

Tecno has recently launched two new smartphones under its Pova series – the Tecno Pova 7 and the Tecno Pova 7 Pro. Both phones look powerful in terms of performance, design, and battery, and the highlight is that both devices come equipped with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset.

The company is clearly targeting users who want gaming, multitasking, and all-day battery life – all at a value-for-money price point.

Both smartphones run on Android 15 with Tecno’s custom HIOS 15, and they’re powered by the Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, built on a 4nm architecture. This processor is currently one of the most efficient and capable chipsets in the budget segment.

You also get up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, so whether it’s heavy apps, gaming, or multitasking – everything feels smooth and lag-free.

And when it comes to battery, Tecno has packed both phones with a massive 6000mAh cell, which easily lasts more than a day on full use. Charging speeds are also impressive – 45W fast wired charging, 30W magnetic wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging, which can even charge other devices.

Both phones have the same screen size – 6.78 inches, but the display tech is quite different.

The Tecno Pova 7 comes with an IPS LCD panel that supports a 144Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Pova 7 Pro features a more premium AMOLED panel, also running at 144Hz, but with an ultra-bright 4500 nits peak brightness, which means crystal-clear visibility even in harsh sunlight.

Both devices feature a status LED strip on the back, adding to the gamer aesthetic. Build quality is impressive as well, and you get IP64 certification for basic dust and splash resistance.

The Tecno Pova 7 sports a single 50MP rear camera, which is good enough for everyday photography. But if you’re looking for more flexibility and wider shots, the Pova 7 Pro is the better choice, featuring a 64MP main sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide lens.

The selfie camera remains the same on both phones – 13MP, capable of taking decent selfies and videos with AI enhancements.

Good news for audio lovers – both phones come with stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of connectivity, all major features are present – NFC, Infrared blaster, dual SIM support, and GPS support via GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS.

The Pova 7 Pro adds a more premium feel with an in-display fingerprint sensor and Google’s new “Circle to Search” feature, giving users a more modern smartphone experience.

The Pova 7 is available in Geek Black, Magic Silver, and Oasis Green. The Pro model comes in Geek Black, Dynamic Grey, and the bold Neon Cyan color.

Both phones are expected to go on sale in India by the end of July. Price-wise, the base model of the Pova 7 is expected to be around ₹15,000, while the Pro version could fall in the ₹17,000–₹18,000 range.
