The all-new vivo Pad 5 Pro has officially launched alongside the vivo X200 Ultra, making a bold statement in the premium tablet market. As the first flagship slate to integrate the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, vivo’s latest tablet combines power and portability at a surprisingly competitive starting price of ¥2999 (approx. $415).
We tested the Cold Star Gray variant, and it’s immediately clear that vivo has taken major steps in both design and engineering. Compared to the previous generation, the Pad 5 Pro is noticeably lighter and sleeker. The standard color variants (Pink, Blue, and Gray) now weigh just 635g, down from 678g, while the Ultra-Light Feather White Edition, crafted with a magnesium alloy body, cuts that down further to just 578g. That’s remarkable for a 13-inch device, making it feel as portable as many 11–12-inch competitors.

Stunning Display with Smart Visual Tech
The tablet features a 13-inch 3.1K resolution panel with a productivity-focused 3:2 aspect ratio, delivering peak brightness of 1200 nits and a buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. But it’s not just about sharp visuals — the Pad 5 Pro integrates a full-scene eye protection system, DC dimming, Rhein-certified low blue light tech, and HDR dual-engine support, making it ideal for both content creation and extended reading or viewing sessions.
Immersive Audio with Precision Tuning
vivo Pad 5 Pro self-developed 8-speaker panoramic sound system (4 woofers + 4 tweeters in a symmetrical array) supports 3D panoramic audio, delivering a cinematic listening experience whether you’re watching a movie or attending a virtual meeting.

High-End Performance with a Smart Ecosystem
VIVO Pad 5 Pro runs on the Blue Crystal Dimensity 9400, coupled with a massive 12,050mAh battery and a 3D structured cooling system to ensure sustained performance. It also supports advanced features like game super-resolution, frame rate enhancement, Wi-Fi wall-penetrating mode 2.0, and multi-frequency Wi-Fi concurrency.
Running OriginOS 5 HD, the tablet offers PC-grade utility through apps like WPS Office (desktop version), CAJViewer, and vivo’s in-house suite: Little V Writing, Little V Memo, and Little V Circle Search — tailored for professional productivity and seamless multitasking.

Accessories That Enhance the Experience
vivo also sent us its full accessory lineup, which includes the vivo Pencil 3, Smart Touch Keyboard 5 Pro, and the Smart Dual-Sided Clamp 5 Pro. The keyboard now features a 6-row, 79-key layout with support for Windows and Mac shortcuts, a generous touchpad, and a foldable, stepless stand — ideal for adapting to any work setup on the go.

Redefining Flagship Tablets
vivo is clearly aligning with the broader industry trend of making flagship tablets larger yet thinner, while also doubling down on PC-level software integration. Features like device communication sharing and remote Windows PC control set the Pad 5 Pro apart in the crowded Android tablet landscape. A loyal vivo user summed it up well: he continues using vivo tablets specifically for their Windows remote control capabilities — a feature still missing on many rivals.
With its powerful hardware, rich display tech, and enterprise-friendly ecosystem, the vivo Pad 5 Pro is more than just a tablet — it’s shaping up to be a true laptop alternative for hybrid users.
