It looks like the smartphone world is heading in a slimmer, sleeker direction. With Apple expected to launch its ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air this September and Samsung reportedly working on the Galaxy S25 Edge, it’s clear that ultra-thin designs and true full-screen displays are the next big thing. But surprisingly, Red Magic 10 Air — known for its gaming-focused phones — is the first to make a move.

Red Magic 10 Air specifications (expected)
Ultra-thin Design: Just 7.85mm thick, 205g weight
Full-Screen Display: Immersive 1.5K resolution panel
Flagship Processor: Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
Triple Rear Cameras: 50MP main + 50MP ultra-wide + LED flash
Under-Display Selfie Camera: 16MP front sensor (expected)
Large Battery: 6000mAh with 80W fast charging
Premium Build: Metal frame, vertical camera module, and red accent button
The company just teased its latest device, the Red Magic 10 Air, calling it the “thinnest full-screen flagship” they’ve ever made. And it’s coming very soon — the official launch is set for April 16.
From what we can see in the teaser images, the Red Magic 10 Air features a clean silver finish, a sturdy vertical metal frame, and a red button that could be a gaming trigger or just a stylish accent. One major change? It looks like Red Magic has removed the built-in cooling fan that was part of the Red Magic 10 Pro. That might be a big part of how they’ve managed to slim this one down. The rear camera setup also gets a new look — a vertical triple-lens layout that gives off strong Samsung vibes.

Leaked info suggests the front will showcase a true full-screen display with 1.5K resolution, staying true to Red Magic’s edge-to-edge screen reputation. Inside, it’s expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, along with a 16MP front camera, and two 50MP sensors on the back — one for the main camera and one for ultra-wide shots. A circular element on the rear may house the flash.
What really stands out is the size. At just 7.85mm thick and 205 grams, the 10 Air is much thinner and lighter than the Red Magic 10 Pro (which was 8.9mm and 229 grams). That’s a noticeable difference — especially for a gaming phone.

But of course, going slim has its trade-offs. The battery capacity is 6000mAh with support for 80W fast charging. That’s solid, but not exactly mind-blowing compared to some of the other fast-charging speeds we’re seeing lately.
Still, the Red Magic 10 Air could strike a sweet balance — powerful enough for gamers, but light and stylish enough for everyday users.
So, what do you think — is this sleek new Red Magic phone on your radar? We’ll get the full picture on April 16.
