Realme is reportedly preparing a major battery upgrade for its upcoming Realme Neo 8 smartphone, with leaks suggesting an 8000mAh battery alongside high-end features. The information comes from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, who claims the device is currently in testing with Dimensity 9500e and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipsets.

According to the leak, the Realme Neo 8 will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming for improved eye comfort. Security will see an upgrade with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

In terms of design, the Realme Neo 8 is expected to revive the brand’s “Awaken Halo” styling, featuring a transparent window and 25-color RGB lighting effects on the camera module. The build will include a plastic mid-frame, glass back, and IP69-rated water and dust resistance.
Battery life is shaping up to be a standout feature, with the 8000mAh unit paired with 100W fast charging and second-generation bypass charging technology. Reverse charging support will also be included.

On the camera front, the phone is tipped to offer a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, focusing primarily on reliable everyday photography rather than pushing imaging boundaries.
Early performance tests suggest AnTuTu scores could exceed 3 million, potentially making the Realme Neo 8 one of the most powerful mid-range devices of the year.
Realme has not yet confirmed the launch date, but given the level of detail in recent leaks, an official announcement may be on the horizon.
