OPPO Find X9s+ Camera Details Leak: Dual 200MP Setup in Testing

OPPO appears to be experimenting with a new imaging direction for its upcoming oppo Find X9s+ Camera, if recent leaks are anything to go by. On December 16, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared fresh information suggesting that OPPO is actively testing a more cost-efficient yet high-resolution camera setup for the device.

According to the leak, the OPPO Find X9s+ Camera may feature a dual 200MP camera system, using Samsung’s HP5 sensors for both the main and telephoto cameras. Each sensor is reportedly sized at 1/1.56 inches, which is smaller than the largest flagship sensors but offers a good balance between detail, size, and cost.

The idea behind using the same 200MP sensor for both cameras is simple: better cost control and more consistent imaging performance across different focal lengths. In theory, this could also help OPPO maintain uniform color tuning and HDR behavior between the main and zoom cameras — something that doesn’t always happen with mixed sensor setups.

Looking at OPPO’s current strategy, the oppo Find X8s focused more on image quality and processing than raw megapixel numbers. Its camera strengths lie in natural colors, stable HDR, and dependable portrait performance rather than extreme resolution.

With the Find X9s+, OPPO seems to be building on that foundation. If the same image tuning carries over, the dual 200MP setup could enable:

• Higher-quality digital zoom
• Better detail retention in telephoto shots
• More flexibility for cropping without losing clarity

In other words, while the oppo  Find X8s delivers balanced and reliable photography, the Find X9s+ could push things further in terms of detail and zoom versatility, without abandoning OPPO’s established imaging style.

The oppo Find X9s+ is also said to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500-series chipset, with development reportedly moving faster than expected. On the front, the phone could feature a 6.3-inch 1.5K LTPS flat display, paired with OPPO’s new LIPO ultra-narrow bezel packaging, helping achieve a higher screen-to-body ratio.

This suggests OPPO is aiming for a compact flagship that doesn’t feel compromised in performance or display quality.
