OnePlus appears to be gearing up for the launch of its next-gen Ace smartphone. According to noted tipster Digital Chat Station, a new OnePlus Ace 6 device is currently in testing, boasting a massive 7800mAh± silicon-based battery — a significant upgrade in endurance over its predecessor.
The unnamed model is expected to belong to the upcoming OnePlus Ace 6 series, although it’s still unclear whether the leak pertains to the standard Ace 6 or the Ace 6 Pro. Historically, OnePlus has equipped the standard variant with a slightly larger battery than the Pro version, which adds further weight to the speculation.
In addition to the ultra-large battery, the upcoming device is said to feature a flat display, flagship Snapdragon 8 series SoC, and an emphasis on performance-centric design. If accurate, this would represent a substantial leap in both battery capacity and sustained performance.

For context, the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, launched in December 2024, packed Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Leading Edition” chipsets respectively. Both devices featured a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, 1600 nits peak brightness, and a 6415mAh battery with support for 100W fast wired charging. The camera setup included a 50MP main rear sensor and a 16MP selfie shooter.
If the leak holds true, the Ace 6’s 7800mAh battery represents a bump of around 1400mAh over the previous generation — a figure that could make it one of the longest-lasting flagships in its class.
In parallel, OnePlus China President Li Jie recently confirmed the imminent launch of two large-screen high-performance smartphones this May, widely believed to be the OnePlus Ace 5 Extreme Edition and Ace 5 Racing Edition. These models are rumored to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400E chipset, marking a shift towards diversity in SoC deployment within the lineup.
