The hype around Huawei’s upcoming Huawei Mate 80 RS Leaks is heating up, and fresh leaks have added even more excitement to the mix. According to the latest information, Huawei is preparing four models for this flagship lineup — the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and the ultra-premium Huawei Mate 80 RS Exceptional Master.
Earlier rumors hinted that the Huawei Mate 80 series would shift back to a flat display design, paired with 3D facial recognition and side-mounted fingerprint support. Now, new details from well-known tipster @Digital Chat Station suggest that the top-end “super cup” variant will pack some serious upgrades.

This elite model is reportedly getting a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED display, a new telephoto camera solution, and a titanium alloy middle frame for unmatched durability. The back panel will feature a ceramic-like texture, giving it a luxurious hand feel. Huawei has previously experimented with titanium frames on the Mate 70 RS, but this time, the combination of advanced materials and display technology could push the experience to another level.
So, what exactly is dual-layer OLED? In simple terms, it stacks an extra OLED light-emitting layer on top of the regular single-layer structure. This setup delivers brighter visuals, improved power efficiency, and a longer display lifespan — a big win for users who want a premium screen that lasts.

That’s not all. Another leak points to an experimental cooling system for the Mate 80 series. This involves a miniaturized high-speed fan integrated into the lower half of the camera module, complete with an air duct, fins, waterproof sealing, and a side exhaust vent. While it’s still uncertain if this design will make it to mass production, the idea is to improve thermal management for both the chipset and the camera system.

On top of all this, Huawei is also working on a triple-foldable phone with eSIM support, which could be the first domestically available eSIM-enabled smartphone in China. Industry chatter suggests that at least one model in the Mate 80 lineup could include eSIM functionality.
If these leaks are accurate, the Huawei Mate 80 RS is shaping up to be a showcase of cutting-edge materials, next-gen display tech, and potentially revolutionary cooling — a true flagship for tech enthusiasts.
