Qualcomm has officially launched the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, a powerful new chipset built on TSMC’s 4nm process. The latest addition to Qualcomm’s 6-series is designed to deliver better performance, improved efficiency, and on-device AI capabilities, making it a significant upgrade over its predecessor.

Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 features a balanced octa-core setup:
- 1 x Cortex-A720s @ 2.3 GHz
- 3 x Cortex-A720s @ 2.2 GHz
- 4 x Cortex-A520s @ 1.8 GHz
This new CPU architecture brings an 11% performance boost compared to the previous generation, ensuring faster app launches, better multitasking, and an overall smoother experience.
The GPU performance has also improved by 29%, which translates to better gaming performance, higher frame rates, and enhanced graphics rendering. Qualcomm has also focused on efficiency, with a 12% increase in power efficiency, helping extend battery life.

One of the biggest highlights of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is its on-device AI capabilities. With AI-powered optimizations, users can expect better real-time translations, AI-assisted photography, and smarter system performance without relying too much on cloud processing. This means enhanced privacy, lower latency, and improved efficiency for AI-driven applications.
